The
rental apartment Umberto is 1 Km far about from Ortigia island (the historic
centre of Syracuse, in
Sicily) in an area served by pubblic transport (the bus stop is 100 meters
far). Nearby you can take also a bus to the seaside resorts close to Syracuse
(Fontane Bianche, Arenella, Marzamemi, Portopalo, Brucoli, etc…).
The
area is full of monuments and storic/archeological sites. Few meters away there
are the Forum of Siracusa, the Roman Gymnasium and corso Umberto,
full of ancient building.
From this rental apartment you can easily walk to
the Archaeological Park, the Santuario della Madonnina and Ortigia
island.
The studio apartment is about 30 m² and is at third floor
(without elevator) of an ancient building. From the windows of the apartment you
can have a panoramic view on the harbour (Porto Grande). It is composed of a large
room with a double bed and a little kitchen in a corner and a bathroom with shower.
It is possible to have an additional single bed, so the apartment can accommodate
up to 3 people.
This rental apartment is the ideal accommodation
if you are looking for a cheap apartment, but in the meantime for a very comfortable
apartment. The lovely furniture and the wonderful view on the sea make this studio
apartment the ideal place where to spend a nice and relaxing holiday in Sicily
(Sicilia), in the south of Italy. In the neighbourhood there are many restaurants,
bars, pizzerie, shops, markets and you can easily go walking in Ortigia (historic
center of Syracuse) and in corso Gelone (commercial center of Syracuse).
The rental apartment isn't in the area forbidden to the car, so you can easily
circulate and park the car nearby!

"Really
good apartment. Convenient to major roads & old town (15 min walk). Nice terrace.
The owner was very welcoming and available anytime by mobile. Wonderful fish shop
just behind apt.: "Onda Blu". Fresh fish & they will cook it there
for you to take away. Was no problem to find free parking in front of apt. Big
supermarket right across the street. Great stay!"
